AL BAYT STADIUM DESIGN

The stadium takes its name and eye-catching silhouette from bayt al sha'ar - the traditional Bedouin tents of the nomadic people in Qatar. The distinctive black and white stripes on the stadium’s exterior match the stripes on these time-honoured symbols of hospitality and a warm welcome for desert travellers. The inside of the stadium is a rich red, with seats in Al Sadu patterns, celebrating the Bedouin style of weaving.
