The largest stadium by capacity at the first World Cup to take place in the region, and set to host the FIFA World Cup 2022™ finals, this 86,000-seat wonder incorporating sophisticated technologies, is the brainchild of world-famous British architects Foster + Partners. The truly iconic design was inspired by the traditional fanar lantern; embellished by Arab bowls and vessels that reflect the heritage and culture of Qatar.
Lusail Iconic Stadium is located about 15 km north of Doha and is conveniently linked to the capital by the metro.
The arena is located in the master planned Lusail City, which features a marina, commercial districts, an entertainment hub, homes, retail malls, golf courses, schools, medical centres and mosques. Lusail City is a sustainable metropolis that accommodates around 200,000 residents, and features a stadium takes sports venues to unprecedented heights.
With yachts and magnificent views of central Doha, Lusail Marina is a beautiful place to spend time before matches. Place Vendome Mall, located in the heart of Lusail City, promises to be the new fashion capital and is home to some of the best international brands in the market. Surrounded by iconic Parisian architecture, visitors will be awestruck by the magnificence of this upscale shopping plaza that is spread over four floors. Here, you’ll find a mix of boutiques, luxury brands and high street shops under one roof, with international cuisine options dotted around the plaza and lots of entertainment activities for the young and old alike.
