Rare archaeological sites and heritage treasures 

The name ‘Qatar’ has been known in history since the 7th century. Venture into the rocky northern desert. and you’ll discover ancient petroglyps from Neolithic times at Jassasiya Rock Art Site. Admire otherworldly ‘mushroom’ rock formations at Zekreet, or see Al Rekayat Fort at Al Zubarah – an important settlement during the golden age of the pearling trade. Get inside the the largest and deepest cave in Qatar.

Making great strides in sustainability 

It’s easy to imagine the cities of tomorrow when you visit Qatar. There is the lush Oxygen Park – a visionary experiment that produces clean air and provides a space for exercise and connecting with nature. You can wander around Lusail City and Msheireb Downtown – some of the most technologically advanced smart cities in the world – and easily get around Doha with our full integrated electric bus system (a world first).
