Ramadan is a particularly festive time in Qatar. While all dining venues are closed during the day, they come alive around sundown.
While many restaurants serve special combo meals, the sumptuous iftar (evening meal to break the fast) and ghabga (late night meal before the fast) buffets served at four- and five-star hotels across the country are a real highlight. Known as Ramadan Tents, these buffets include elaborate stations serving different courses and cuisines as well as desserts and a variety of hot and cold beverages.
