Qatar entry rules

Due to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, travellers entering the Qatar between the 1 November and 22 December, 2022 will require to possess a Hayya Card. Visa-on-arrival services will be reactivated 23 December 2022 onward.

Book your stay - only applicable to Indian, Pakistani and Iranian passport holders.

Make your hotel reservations for your entire stay in Qatar with Discover Qatar in order to obtain your Visa on-arrival.

Register for your Ehteraz pre-registration

Register for your entry permit with the Ehteraz portal using your travel documents. Uploading of vaccination documents is now optional. The pre-travel registration process is not applicable to GCC citizens and residents*.

 

*However, Indian, Pakistani and Iranian passport holders must always obtain pre-travel approval.

Pre-travel COVID-19 tests

Either conduct a PCR test 48 before departure or a Rapid Antigen test 24 hours before departure and keep your negative test certifcate handy.

Note: Rapid Antigen self tests are not valid.

Arrive and download your Ehteraz health application

Activate the Ehteraz mobile application on arrival using your international or a local SIM card. The Ehteraz mobile application can be activated using your passport number. 

Entry rules for children

  • Children aged six years & above who are citizens/residents of Qatar are required to take a post-travel Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours of arriving in the country
  • Children aged six years & above who are visitors/non-Qatari ID holders are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no more than 48 hours before departure or a negative Rapid Antigen Test result taken no more than 24 hours before departure
