The Exceptional Entry Permit has been replaced with the Travel Permit. Pre-electronic registration through the Ehteraz platform (www.ehteraz.gov.qa) is optional for citizens and residents.

Travellers who’ve received two doses of a conditionally approved vaccine followed by one dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine will be considered fully immune on completion of 14 days post the last vaccination

Unvaccinated children aged 11 years and below, travelling with their fully vaccinated parents shall be subject to 2 days of hotel quarantine when arriving from an exceptional red list country. 

Travellers requiring hotel quarantine, will have to book the hotel quarantine on the Discover Qatar website
72 hours before your arrival
1. Step

Acquire a negative PCR test

All travelers needs to present a negative PCR test result that must be less than 72 hours old when arriving in Qatar.

2. Step

Register and apply for your travel permit

Register for an account on www.ehteraz.gov.qa and apply for your travel permit in a few simple steps. The following documents will be required to successfully submit your application. 

  • Passport and travel details
  • Vaccination certificate (required for travel without quarantine)
  • Your PCR negative test result - Less than 72 hours old when arriving in  Qatar
  • Hotel booking confirmation 
  • Note: the travel permit is applied for and issued for free. No additional costs will be acquired for the permit. You will be notified as soon as your travel permit is approved. Download, print and keep the travel permit handy during your travel.

Download the Ehteraz mobile application before or on arrival at the airport. 

Arrival in Qatar
1. Step

Show permit to check-in agent

At the airport show your travel permit to the airline check-in agent. Please note that without a valid permit the airline will deny boarding.

2. Step

Activate the Ehteraz mobile application on arrival

Activate the Ehteraz mobile application on arrival using your international or a local SIM card that it is showing the correct health status for you on your return to Qatar. Your Ehteraz application will then start updating the your vaccination details as well. 

3. Step

Get a PCR test done within 36 hours of arriving in Qatar

Visit the nearest Primary Health Care Corporation health centers, a private clinic or hospital to conduct a PCR test. GCC citizens visitors are recommended to visit private clinics or hospitals that are licensed by the Ministry of Public Health to conduct the PCR test.

Children under the age of 4 are exempted from the test procedure
