About children:  

  • Unvaccinated children aged 0-17 travelling with their fully vaccinated parents shall be subject to home quarantine based on the classification of the country of arrival 7 days for yellow listed countries and 10 days for red listed countries. 
  • Unvaccinated children aged 12-17 travelling with their fully vaccinated parents shall be subject to 5 days of home quarantine when travelling in from green listed country.
  • Unvaccinated children travelling with their vaccinated parents who are GCC citizens but are non-QID holders shall be subject to hotel quarantine based on the country classification of departure (5 days for green list countries, 7 days for yellow list countries, and 10 days for red list countries).

Travel advisory for visitors flying in from India, Pakistan, Phillipines, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka:

  • Visitors vaccinated/recovering from COVID-19 in the State of Qatar are subject to a two-day hotel quarantine and are allowed to leave the hotel on the second day if the result of the PCR test is negative
  • All other visitors are subject to a hotel quarantine for a period of 10 days

  • Travellers requiring hotel quarantine, will have to book the hotel quarantine on the Discover Qatar website

Travel permit process

The pre-electronic registration through the Ehteraz platform (www.ehteraz.gov.qa) is optional for citizens and residents.

  1. Register for an account on www.ehteraz.gov.qa and apply for your travel permit in a few simple steps. The following documents will be required to successfully submit your application:
  •  Passport and travel details
  • Vaccination certificate (required for travel without quarantine)
  • A negative PCR test result that must be less than 72 hours old when arriving in Qatar

Note: The travel permit is applied for and issued for free. 

  1. You will be notified as soon as your travel permit is processed. Download, print and keep the travel permit handy during your travel. 
  2. At the airport show your travel permit to the airline check-in agent. Please note that without a valid permit the airline will deny boarding.
  3. Please ensure you have the Ehteraz app installed and activated. Personnel at Hamad International Airport will check that you have the Ehteraz app installed and that it is showing the correct status for you on your return to Qatar.

As of July 12, 2021 the Exceptional Entry Permit has been replaced with the above Travel Permit. Pre-electronic registration through the Ehteraz platform (www.ehteraz.gov.qa) is optional for citizens and residents.
